Christmas song video Finale – Five Little Christmas trees

Here is the last video from the Christmas songs performance by four-year olds. This is my daughter singing with her friends.

They are singing Five little Christmas trees.

Kids are adorable and they are performing so well. I love that they get into the character and demonstrate every line from the song.

The message of the song, however, is a little disturbing and not quite environmentally friendly. Here is how it goes:

Five little Christmas trees
Stood all alone.
Their hearts were sad
For they hadn’t found a home.
Chop! went the ax.
Down came the tree.
And off it went with a happy family.

So the trees are sad until they are cut down by an axe? Are the trees really happy after they were chopped? Or was only the family happy? I guess we will never find out.
