Skeletons’ friends

When I was growing up I thought skeletons were scary. The only skeleton I ever saw was in the biology classroom. We were terrified as we were studying all the bone types. Of course, I grew up in Russia where we did not celebrate Halloween back then.

My kids have a totally different perception of skeletons. They see skeleton decorations for a whole month of October. Skeletons are pinned to the door of every other house. They are trying to crawl out of their grave almost in every yard.

My kids like to shake a skeleton’s hand. They love to put their fingers in the skull’s eye hole. They also try hard to pull skeleton’s fingers from the ground.

When we go shopping, they explore different color skulls with awe. They ask me if we can, please, buy “another man”.

Maybe things will change when they grow older?
